The NHA would like to congratulate the Saviour, Nigel Havers, for the news that He is to marry fellow political activist, Georgiana Bronfman, this July.

The news coincides with the tenth anniversary of the formation of The Nigel Havers Alliance.

“The timing of this momentous occasion could not be more perfect,” said NHA Minister for Fun and political commentator, Matthew Corbett.

Ministers are warning of the kind of celebrations that occurred at the Queen’s Golden Jubilee in 2002.  “I don’t think it would be prudent to underestimate the inevitable outpour of emotion that will fill the streets,” said Corbett. “People have been waiting for a celebration of this kind for years.”

The NHA was formed ten years ago, in response to the sane minority’s outcry when Britain took leave of its senses and voted in New Labour. Ten years on and the political climate is very different: as Golden Brown prepares to take over the reins of Tony Blair, the British public need some sort of sign that things really are ‘about to get better’. The tenth anniversary of the NHA and the news of Our Lord’s marriage to Georgiana have rekindled the flame of hope which has been flickering away for ten years. Well done, Nigel!
