Nigel Wins TV Debate
3 Mayvers, 2010
The Leader’s Debate
- 66% of viewers believe Nigel Havers should be next Prime Minister
- 82% of viewers agreed with Nigel’s vision for the NHHS
- 12% agreed with Esther Rantzen’s Dental Care Reform Bill
- Viewers disagreed with Bill Oddie’s stance on red squirrels
The Saviour Nigel Havers came out on top at last night’s televised debate, according to an independent poll.
The poll, conducted by NigePoll, found that the majority of viewers of The Leader’s Debate on NHATVUK1+2, the new channel from Havers Media, felt that Nigel Havers was the best man to lead the country, receiving a staggering 66% of support from viewers. Esther Rantzen was in second place on 26%, while in clear last place was Bill Oddie, trailing behind on 8%.
Support for Nigel during the debate peaked at precisely thirty-two minutes into the epic battle of wits, following Nigel’s inspirational speech on His vision for the National Havers Health Service.
The online survey conducted after the debate found little support for Bill Oddie’s position on squirrels, while Esther Rantzen’s statements on dental support for those with excessive teeth attracted only modest support from viewers.
The result of the debate confirms the national feeling that His Nigelness should be the next Prime Minister, in spite of the negative vibes being unleashed by the three main parties and national press.
In an interview for Havers Media, the Saviour was confident that the NHA will do well on Thursday:
“I am very confident that the NHA will do well on Thursday. After all, no matter how stupid the voters are, they know that it would be foolhardy to risk implementing Plan B. Moreover, I must be doing something right as NigeBet are currently offering odds of 2 to 1 of me winning the election.”
Top work, Nigel!
