Politician of the Week

Candidates for this prestigious NHA award are first nominated by the general public before being presented to a panel of NHA judges, who each week go through the tawdry process of whittling the choices down so that Our Saviour, Nigel Havers, can make a final choice. If you would like to nominate a politician please email us, remembering to clearly state why your choice is worthy enough to replace our reigning champion, Boris Johnson.

POLITICIAN OF THE WEEK: BORIS JOHNSON

Boris Johnson

Although he has been at the top spot for a record 49 weeks in a row, and a total 354 weeks overall, Boris has never been more deserving of Nigel’s exalted Politician of the Week award as he has this week.

After finally preventing the ghastly troglodyte Ken Livingstone from having another term in office last May, Boris has now worked tirelessly for nearly a year as Mayor of London. During this time, Boris has already battled continuously against incompetence and stupidity from both Golden Brown's government and from his own party, has worked tirelessly to prepare for the 2012 London Olympics, has fought back against drinking yobbos on the London Underground, and has fought hard to resurrect the traditional London "Routemaster" bus.

The NHA are therefore proud to doff our hats to a man who stood up to the fat cats and triumphed once more in the face of adversity. Well done, Boris!
