Fans of Top Gear have had many a sleepless night wondering that age old question, “just who on Earth is The Stig?”  This week, Nigel’s official jester, Justin Lee Collins, finally revealed the true identity of Top Gear’s The Stig.

“It’s Nigel Havers!” exclaimed Collins, much to the shock of Jeremy Clarkson, who has guarded television’s biggest secret for five long years.

The second incarnation of The Stig began life in 2003, when he regenerated following the death of The Stig I.  Never one to disappoint, Nigel officially denied the rumours that He may, in fact, actually be the masked driving superhero, thus allowing the rumours regarding The Stig’s identity to persist.  We therefore continue to ask, “Is Nigel Havers really The Stig?”
